Crew Organizer and Payment Terms

Last updated: June 20, 2026

Effective date: 2026-06-18 Last updated: 2026-06-20 Version: 1.1

1. Organizer responsibility

Independent organizers are responsible for the events they create unless Crew clearly states that a specific event is organized by Crew.

Organizers must provide accurate event information, including price, time, place, route, included items, excluded items, capacity, requirements, cancellation terms, refund terms, safety notes, organizer identity where relevant, and material risks.

2. Local compliance

Organizers are responsible for permits, licences, venue or route suitability, accessibility information, insurance, health and safety planning, tax, invoices, receipts, participant communication, and local legal obligations that apply to their events.

Organizers must not present Crew as the event organizer, venue operator, transport provider, insurer, professional adviser, tax adviser, emergency service, or guarantor unless Crew has expressly agreed in writing for the specific event.

3. Paid event availability

Paid event hosting may be limited by country, currency, organizer eligibility, Stripe availability, payment-provider rules, app-store rules, legal requirements, risk review, or Crew launch status.

Organizers must not publish paid events, accept registrations, or promise payouts unless the product flow confirms that paid event features are available for the event and organizer account.

4. Stripe Connect and payouts

Paid event hosting may require Stripe Connect onboarding. Stripe and payment-provider requirements may affect payment acceptance, transfers, payouts, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, reserves, reversals, or verification status.

Payout timing may depend on event completion, refund windows, risk review, Stripe balance availability, payment-provider settlement timing, account verification, bank processing, weekends, holidays, and legal or compliance checks.

5. Funds review, reserves, and reversals

Crew may hold, delay, reserve, reverse, offset, or recover funds where required for refunds, disputes, chargebacks, fraud, cancellation, non-delivery, material event changes, safety review, misleading descriptions, payment integrity, legal compliance, provider rules, or policy enforcement.

If a refund, dispute, chargeback, reversal, duplicate charge, or payment correction affects an event, the organizer's available balance, payout, revenue record, or future payouts may be adjusted.

6. Tax, invoices, and receipts

Crew does not calculate, collect, or file organizer event-ticket tax unless a separate written policy says otherwise.

Organizers are responsible for determining whether taxes, VAT, sales tax, local levies, invoices, receipts, reporting, registration, or business licensing apply to their events or earnings. Organizers should seek qualified tax or legal advice where needed.

7. Cancellations, no-shows, and event changes

Organizers must communicate cancellations, material event changes, route changes, venue changes, timing changes, safety changes, or capacity changes as soon as reasonably possible.

Organizer rules about cancellation, late arrival, no-show, or event changes cannot override Crew policy, payment integrity requirements, consumer protection law, safety obligations, privacy rules, app-store rules, payment-provider rules, or applicable law.

8. Prohibited organizer behavior

Organizers must not pressure participants to bypass Crew payment, refund, dispute, report, or support flows where Crew payment is required or available.

Organizers must not create illegal, unsafe, misleading, discriminatory, exploitative, infringing, fraudulent, high-risk without disclosure, or policy-prohibited events.

9. Relationship to other policies

These Organizer Terms work together with the Terms and Conditions, Refund Policy, Safety Guide, Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy, purchase screens, event rules, Stripe rules, app-store rules, and applicable law. The more specific rule applies where a specific payment, refund, safety, privacy, or legal notice controls a topic.
