1. What this page covers
Crew may use cookies, local storage, session storage, device storage, SDK storage, and similar technologies in the website, dashboard, and app.
This policy explains the main categories of storage Crew uses. The exact names and durations may vary by browser, device, app version, provider configuration, and security requirements.
2. Current storage categories
| Category | Examples | Purpose | Typical duration | Consent status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential service storage | Session, authentication, CSRF or security state, app integrity, consent records | Sign-in, account security, fraud prevention, service stability, request security, and legal records | Session to 12 months, or longer for security/audit records | Required for the service |
| Preference storage | Language, region, theme, layout, map return state, download routing preference | Remember choices and provide expected product behavior | Session to 12 months | Usually non-essential preference storage; consent may be required in some regions |
| Map and location storage | Map viewport, route state, selected place, geocoding or map provider technical storage | Provide maps, places, routes, coordinates, addresses, and timezone features | Session to 12 months depending on provider and product use | May be essential for requested map features; provider technologies may follow their own terms |
| Diagnostics and performance storage | Crash, diagnostics, app version, browser/device, performance, reliability signals | Detect errors, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and protect platform integrity | Usually up to 14 months for analytics/diagnostics records, shorter for transient logs | Consent may be required for non-essential analytics in some regions |
| Marketing, attribution, or advertising storage | Campaign, sponsored placement, attribution, or advertising measurement where enabled | Measure promotions or show sponsored content where Crew launches those features | As disclosed in the consent or provider notice | Requires consent or opt-out where required by law |
3. Essential technologies
Crew may use essential technologies to support sign-in, account security, fraud prevention, payment integrity, language routing, service reliability, consent records, and basic operation. Blocking essential storage may prevent Crew from working correctly.
4. Analytics, ads, and non-essential storage
Crew does not currently use third-party advertising cookies on the public site unless a product configuration or future feature enables them. If Crew enables non-essential analytics, attribution, advertising, or similar technologies that require consent, Crew should request consent before using them where required.
Service messages, fraud prevention, security logging, payment integrity, and legally required records may still operate even if you decline non-essential storage.
5. Managing storage
You can manage cookies and local storage through your browser, device, app, or available consent controls. Blocking or deleting storage may affect sign-in, maps, payments, language preference, dashboard display, app download links, or other features.
Browser-level privacy signals may not delete existing local storage automatically. You may need to clear site data in your browser or device settings.
